What Types of Glass Do We Supply for Glass Facades
Regardless of the system chosen—standard, semi-structural, or structural curtain walls—glass is the key component that defines the facade’s energy, acoustic, and aesthetic performance. TDC Glass manufactures and supplies the full range of products required for a glazed facade project.
Insulated glass units (IGUs) for curtain walls
double – or tripled-glazed units with aluminum or warm-edge spacers, filled with argon. Available with Low-E coating for high energy efficiency and solar control. Compatible with all curtain wall systems on the market.
Tempered safety glass (ESG) for facades
heat-treated, up to 5 times stronger than float glass In the event of breakage, it breaks into small fragments, with no risk of injury. Mandatory standard for structural and semi-structural curtain walls. We manufacture safety glass in-house, certified to EN 12150.
Laminated glass (VSG) for facades
two or more layers of glass bonded together with a 0.38–4.56 mm PVB interlayer. Upon impact, the fragments remain held in place by the interlayer—the standard solution for high-rise facade glazing and areas with heightened safety requirements. Laminated glass is cut on the Bottero 520 LAMe automatic line, and lamination is performed in the Hornos Industriales Pujol industrial oven, model HLH.
Ceramic digital print glass for atypical facades
Where the design is applied directly to the glass via ceramic printing fused during the tempering process. It adds an extra touch of architectural branding.
Glass for all types of curtain walls
Standard curtain wall
The classic system where mounting profiles are visible from both the exterior and interior. An economical and versatile solution, suitable for office buildings, shopping centers, and renovation projects. Glass thickness: from 18 mm monolithic to insulated glazing units up to 60 mm.
Semi-structural curtain wall
Structural profiles are visible in only one direction—horizontal or vertical—providing a glazed surface with superior visual continuity. Insulated glass units consisting of 2 or 3 panes are used, with thicknesses ranging from 18 to 60 mm. Modern appearance, rigid structure.
Structural curtain wall
No metal profiles are visible from the exterior. The glass is bonded to the aluminum frame with structural silicone, resulting in a continuous glass mirror effect. A system of the highest aesthetic standards, used in prestigious buildings and premium architectural projects. The glass must be tempered or laminated with strict tolerance specifications.

Which details are required to prepare a quote?
A cutting list including dimensions, thicknesses, and types of glass, the type of curtain wall system, and the estimated delivery date. If the project is in its early stages, we offer technical consulting to help finalize the specifications.
What are the cutting tolerances and the maximum panel size?
We work with a tolerance of ±0.5 mm using Bystronic and Bottero cutting equipment. We process formats up to 6,000 × 3,210 mm and produce special shapes—round, polygonal—with no minimum order quantity. The maximum size for heat treatment is 2,450 × 3,900 mm, limited by the width of the furnace.
Can you deliver in phases, directly to the construction site?
We deliver directly to the construction site and accept partial deliveries, tailored to the progress of the work. The glass is specially packaged to prevent damage during transport.
What is the execution deadline for an order of facade glass?
The deadline varies depending on the type of product and the order volume. We provide an estimated deadline in the technical and commercial proposal. For urgent or phased orders, please contact us directly to establish a schedule tailored to the construction site.
Is the glass delivered certified according to European standards?
Yes. The safety glass is EN 12150 certified, and the production processes comply with EN 1863. The insulated glass is manufactured entirely on a complete in-house production line.
Do you provide technical documentation for the building specifications?
Yes. We supply safety glass certified to EN 12150, laminated glass certified to EN 14449, and thermal insulation glass certified to EN 1279.
