Custom Insulated Glass - Supplier for manufacturers of PVC and wood joinery and facade systems.
TDC Glass manufactures double- and triple-pane insulated glass units on a fully integrated production line for manufacturers of PVC and aluminum windows and doors, facade contractors, and building envelope system suppliers. We supply SR EN 1279-certified insulated glass units in technical configurations tailored to project specifications.
SR EN 1279
Double & Triple
400 Units per Shift
In-house Production

Complete assembly line for insulated glass units — from glass cutting to the finished product
We are a trusted partner for window and door manufacturers in Transylvania and throughout the country. The entire production process takes place in-house at our factory in Brașov County, using a Bystronic production line with a capacity of 400 units per shift.
Cutting
Preparing the glass to the dimensions and shapes of the insulated glass unit
Mechanical edge tension
On all 4 sides, which eliminates the glass’s vulnerabilities (microcracks and concentrated internal stresses resulting from cutting)
Vertical washing
With softened water filtered through a reverse osmosis system
Bending of the spacer frame
We use bendable aluminum spacers or warm edge spacers, which ensure an airtight seal of the glazing; the process accommodates both rectangular frames and special shapes
Desiccant filling and frame sealing
A hygroscopic material that absorbs residual moisture from inside the glass unit and prevents interior condensation throughout the product’s lifespan
Primary butyl sealing
Bilateral application of a continuous bead of butyl thermoplastic compound along the edges of the spacer frame, with complete coverage of the contact section
Inspection and positioning station
Detection of any surface imperfections or contamination before the sheet enters the pressing process, at which point remediation is no longer possible
Assembly and Pressing Robot
The insulated glass units are assembled and pressed to ensure uniform adhesion of the butyl sealant, while simultaneously introducing argon between the panes, ensuring a 90% fill rate
Secondary sealing
With polyurethane for residential glazing and with structural silicone for architectural glazing, ensuring a uniform and continuous seal
The glass sheets are transported vertically from the washing station to the press on rollers inclined at 6–8°, with air cushions between the glass and the conveyor wall, ensuring no physical contact between the pieces.
Each lot of thermal insulation glass produced undergoes quality and compliance testing based on the inspection and testing plan: hardness, homogeneity test, airtightness, etc.
For the window manufacturer, this means a quality guaranteed by a single supplier for the entire thermal insulation glass package—regardless of the configuration, size, or volume of the order. See also the Tamglass tempering line and the in-house lamination capabilities available.
Available types of insulated glass — Low-E, argon-filled, warm-edge spacer, safety glass, laminated
Low-E and Solar Control (4 Seasons) glass
low-emissivity coatings for thermal and solar performance requirements
Argon-filled Insulated Glass
inert gas filling to improve the Ug coefficient
Warm Edge
low thermal conductivity spacer, suitable for projects with high energy certification requirements
Safety glass in the insulating glass unit
produced in-house in the Tamglass HTF furnace, integrated directly into the IGU line without additional handling
Laminated glass in the insulating glass unit
for railings, canopies, and burglar-resistant applications
Custom-shaped insulated glass units — full-scale production for facade contractors
For facade contractors and projects with non-standard geometries, large-sized insulated glass units and custom shapes are produced in the same production flow, with the same tolerances, without external subcontracting.
Typical facade applications
Facades with sloped or arched panels
Skylights and glass roofs
Attic windows and custom-shaped windows
Architectural heritage projects with non-standard dimensions
Frequently Asked Questions
What IGU thicknesses do you manufacture?
We manufacture standard units in 24mm, 40mm, and 52mm thicknesses, as well as custom thicknesses based on project specifications. We work with monolithic glass panes ranging from 4 to 12mm and laminated glass ranging from 3.3.1 to 8.8.1 mm.
Do you also supply insulated glass units with safety glass included?
Yes. The safety glass is produced in-house in the Tamglass HTF furnace and integrated directly into the assembly line, without external handling. The in-house process eliminates the risk of damage between operations and reduces delivery time compared to a subcontracted supplier.
